In our assemblies this term, our British Values will link to our school values of Respect, Responsibility and Resilience. We will be looking primarily at the British Value of Rule of Law and Mutual Respect.
In class, we will focus on the British Value of Mutual Respect and Tolerance of Those with Different Faiths and Beliefs when we learn about Judaism and also focus on our British value of Individual Liberty and Democracy when exploring how to stay safe.
One of the seven outcomes we would like from our curriculum is for the children to develop their understanding of what it means to live in a diverse society such as Britain. To support that this term, we will address and explore diversity, with a visit from our local fire service, learn about refugee camps, look at cities of sanctuary and what makes Chester one and discussing children’s rights.
